Description

GoldBio’s GV3101 Agrobacterium Electrocompetent Cells allow you to obtain high transformation efficiency in applications such as gDNA or cDNA library construction. Our GV3101 strain harbors the C58 chromosomal backbone containing rifampicin resistance and the Ti plasmid pMP90 (pTiC58DT-DNA) harboring the gentamicin resistance. A functional T-DNA binary system can be built using our GV3101 strains as the T-DNA region has been deleted from the Ti plasmid and instead has a binary vector containing the missing T-region. The binary system makes possible to transfer genetic material into a host plant’s genome. Our system is often used for Agrobacterium-mediated transformation in mono and dicotyledonous species such as Arabidopsis thaliana, tobacco, potato, soybeans and corn.

The cocktail contains both reversible and irreversible protease inhibitors to inhibit metallo, serine and cysteine proteases. It also contains specific inhibitors for bacterial proteases, such as aspartic proteases and aminopeptidases. A 1X concentration of Bacterial ProteaseArrest™ inhibits over 90% of protease activities.

ProBlock™ Gold Bacterial 2D cocktail does not use EDTA as its metalloprotease inhibitor as it would inhibit the activity of proteins that require divalent cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, or Mn2+) for their biological activity. In addition, EDTA would inhibit the purification of proteins using immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC), for example His tagged or CBP tagged proteins. Recombinant Protein G contains only IgG binding domains. The albumin-binding domain as well as cell wall and cell membrane binding domains of native Protein G have been removed to ensure the maximum specific IgG binding capacity.

GoldBio offers rProtein G resins to isolate and purify classes, subclasses and fragments of immunoglobulins from cell culture media and biological fluids. Rapid purification and high yield of purified immunoglobulin are obtainable by this method.

Protein G is covalently bound to highly cross-linked agarose beads, providing a very stable bond that can greatly minimize leakage of the Protein G and allowing for reuse of the affinity resin in several purification steps. This resin works well in High Flow conditions.
