Description
Nickel NTA HTC Agarose Resin has a binding capacity of ~60 mg/ml. In addition, it allows for purification of proteins under native or denaturing conditions. GoldBio Nickel Agarose works very well with the His-Tag Buffer Set.
NTA cross-linked Agarose resin consists of nitrilotriacetic acid groups ligated by stable ether linkages via a spacer arm. NTA is a tetravalent chelating agent, covalently coupled to cross-linked agarose beads, providing a higher specificity and lower ion leaching than IDA linked resins. NTA resins have also been shown to be more robust in the presence of higher concentrations of EDTA, but may require a higher imidazole concentration for protein elution. This resin is loaded with Ni 2+. The resulting, ready-to-use resin is ideal for rapid purifications of His-tagged proteins.

Description
Noggin belongs to a group of diffusible proteins that bind to ligands of the TGF-β (Transforming Growth Factor) family and regulate their activity by inhibiting their access to signaling receptors. Noggin was originally identified as a BMP4 antagonist whose action is critical for proper formation of the head and other dorsal structures. Noggin has been shown to modulate the activities of other BMPs including BMP2, 7, 13, and 14. Targeted deletion of noggin in mice results in prenatal death and recessive phenotype displaying a severely malformed skeletal system. Transgenic mice over-expressing noggin in mature osteoblasts display impaired osteoblastic differentiation, reduced bone formation and severe osteoporosis.

Description
Neurotrophin 4 (NTF4), also known as NT5, is a member of the NGF family of neuronal and epithelial growth factors. Neurotrophins have six conserved cysteine residues that are involved in the formation of three disulfide bonds. Human NT4 shares 48 - 52% amino acid sequence identity with human β-NGF, BDNF and NT3. It shares 91% and 95% amino acid sequence identity with mouse and rat NT4/5, respectively. The protein is secreted as a homodimer and can also form heterodimers with BDNF or NT3. NT4 binds and induces receptor dimerization and activation of TrkB and promotes the development and survival of selected peripheral and CNS neurons. NT4 induced TrkB signaling augments NMDA receptor activity and increases neuronal sensitivity to excitotoxic cell death. NT4 is secreted by activated T cells and granulocytes and contributes to tissue regeneration at inflammation sites.

Description
Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) is a glycoprotein present in serum but absent from plasma. PDGF has three subforms: PDGFAA, PDGFBB, and PDGF-AB. This form is a disulfide-linked homodimer consisting of two peptide chains B (PDGFBB). It is involved in a number of biological processes, including hyperplasia, embryonic neuron development, chemotaxis, and respiratory tubule epithelial cell development. In contrast to PDGFAA, the beta chains in PDGFBB are sufficient for mitogenesis. The function of PDGF is mediated by two tyrosine kinase receptors, PDGFR-α and PDGFR-β, both of which bind PDGFBB.

2110-04-5 | 5 μg | $ 115.00 |
Description
Platelet Factor 4 (PF4) is a non-ELR type of CXC chemokine. PF4 is expressed primarily in megakaryocytes and platelets, but it is also seen in a variety of other cells as well. It is released from alpha granules of activated platelets during platelet aggregation and binds to heparin with high affinity, neutralizing the anticoagulant effect of heparin. Because of this coagulation-promoting activity, it is concluded that PF4 is involved in inflammation and would healing. PF4 binds to the integral membrane protein receptor CXCR3B, an alternatively spliced isoform of CXCR3. It participates in chemotaxis of neutrophils, fibroblasts, and monocytes.
