Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA), Sulfhydryl Blocked (NZ)
Product Description
Sulfhydryl Blocked Bovine Serum Albumin (sBSA) is a highly purified, lyophilized albumin designed for immunoassays and enzymatic applications that require minimal reactivity. sBSA maintains a high-monomer form with reduced cross-reactivity, ensuring exceptional stability and accuracy. sBSA is ideal for applications like acridinium ester chemiluminescence and immunoassays and is compatible with maleimide conjugation for added experimental flexibility.
Sulfhydryl BSA is particularly useful in thiol-sensitive assays, capable of blocking over 90% of the free thiol groups in BSA. Sulfhydryl BSA is free from EDTA and fatty acid-stabilized, making it suitable for a wide range of assay types. This BSA is sourced from Fraction V of the original Cohn purification, ensuring reliability and consistency. In addition to its blocking capabilities, sBSA is also used in protein standards, cell culture media, and protease-sensitive immunoassays, offering versatility across various biological and biochemical applications.
GoldBio NZ-BSA is protease and certified TSE free, manufactured in New Zealand in a closed loop system from NZ-MPI inspected, healthy animals located in New Zealand.
