4-Methylumbelliferyl-α-D-mannopyranoside
Product Description
4-Methylumbelliferyl-α- D-mannopyranoside is a fluorogenic substrate for α-D-mannosidase, yielding a blue fluorescent solution upon cleavage. It is used for determination of lectin in a very dilute solution by fluorescence quenching, in studies of the kinetics of saccharide binding to the dimer form of concanavalin A or for diagnosis of alpha-mannosidosis by measuring α-mannosidase in plasma.
