Description
Protein L Magnetic Agarose Beads are designed to provide the easiest
and simplest method of monoclonal and polyclonal antibody purification and immunoprecipitation.
The antibodies are retained to the magnetic resin which are also
covalently conjugated with recombinant Protein L. Magnetic agarose
beads provide a convenient and quick method for purifications of IgG, IgM, IgA, and IgD containing kappa light chains
from various species without interfering with the antigen binding site.
Protein L Magnetic Beads are supplied as a 50% suspension of magnetic beads in 20% ethanol (Each 1000 μl of suspension contains 500 μl of magnetic beads.)
Binding Capacity: ~10 mg human IgG / ml resin.

Description
Persephin (PSPN) belongs to the GDNF ligand subfamily of the TGF-beta superfamily. The amino acid sequence of PSPN exhibits significant homology to GDNF. PSPN is synthesized throughout the nervous system and presumably originates from both astroglial cells and neurons. It promotes the survival and growth of mesencephalic dopaminergic and motor neurons. It also plays a role in kidney development by promoting ureteric bud branching. PSPN binds to a receptor complex consisting of Ret tyrosine kinase and GFR-alpha-4.

Recombinant Murine Sonic HedgeHog (SHH)
rMuSHH
Hhg1
Hxl3
Members of the Hedgehog (Hh) family are highly conserved proteins that are widely represented throughout the animal kingdom. The three known mammalian Hh proteins, Sonic (Shh), Desert (Dhh) and Indian (Ihh), are structurally related and share a high degree of amino acid sequence identity. Each Hh protein has a unique expression pattern and distinct biological role within its respective region of secretion. All Hh proteins use the same signaling pathway and can substitute for each other in experimental systems. Shh has been found to have a critical role in development, acting as a morphogen in the patterning of limbs, brain structure, facial structure, lungs, spinal cord, thalamus and the teeth. Shh has been shown to attract commissural axons in the developing spinal cord by attracting or repelling retinal ganglion cell (RGC) axons depending on concentration. Murine SHH is frequently coexpressed with BMP2, BMP4, and BMP6.

Description
Thiazolyl blue tetrazolium bromide (often called MTT) is a common dye used in Cell Proliferation assays or Cell Growth assays. MTT is converted to water-insoluble, dark blue MTT-formazan by mitochondrial dehydrogenases of living cells. The intensity of the color can then be measured colorimetrically at a wavelength of 570 nm.

Description
Thrombopoietin (THPO), the ligand for the receptor encoded by the c-Mpl proto-oncogene, is a key regulator of megakaryocytopoiesis and thrombopoiesis in vitro and in vivo. The cDNAs for THPO have recently been cloned from canine, murine and human sources. The proteins from these three species are highly conserved, exhibiting from 69-75% sequence identity at the amino acid level. Two distinct domains, separated by a pair of arginine residues that may be a proteolytic cleavage site, have been identified in THPO: the amino terminal region exhibiting sequence homology to erythropoietin and the carboxy terminal region containing multiple potential N-linked glycosylation sites. Recombinant THPO has been shown to stimulate the maturation, as well as the proliferation, of megakaryocytes and may have important therapeutic applications for the treatment of various clinical conditions associated with thrombocytopenia.

Description
Tumor necrosis factor (or TNF-α), also called cachectin, is produced by neutrophils, activated lymphocytes, macrophages, NK-cells, LAK-cells, astrocyte endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells and some transformed cells. TNF can occur as a secreted, soluble form or as a membrane-anchored form, both of which are biologically active. Mouse TNF occurs as a membrane-anchored form. The naturally occurring form of TNF is glycosylated, but nonglycosylated recombinant TNF has comparable biological activity. The biologically active native form of TNF is reportedly a trimer. Human and murine TNF has approximately 79% homology at the amino acid level and there is cross-reactivity between the two species. Two types of receptors for TNF, p55 and p75, have been described and virtually all cell types studied show the presence of one or both of these receptor types.

Description
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor is a potent growth and angiogenic cytokine. It stimulates proliferation and survival of endothelial cells, and promotes angiogenesis and vascular permeability. VEGF is expressed in vascularized tissues and plays a prominent role in normal and pathological angiogenesis. VEGF has been implicated in the induction of tumor metastasis, intra-ocular neovascular syndromes and angiogenesis. Three mouse cDNA clones (monomeric VEGF having 120, 164 or 188 amino acids) have been identified through alternative splicing. Two receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), Flt-1 and Flk-1 (the mouse homologue of human KDR) have been shown to bind VEGF with high affinity.
