Description
EvaGreen® dye is a green fluorescent nucleic acid dye with features that make the dye useful for several applications including qPCR and DNA melt curve analysis, real-time monitoring of thermophilic helicase-dependent amplification (tHDA), and capillary gel electrophoresis. The DNA-bound dye has excitation and emission spectra very close to those of fluorescein (FAM) or SYBR® Green I, making the dye readily compatible with instruments equipped with the 488 nm argon laser or any visible light excitation with wavelength in the region. EvaGreen® dye is extremely stable both thermally and hydrolytically, providing convenience during routine handling. The dye is essentially nonfluorescent by itself, but becomes highly fluorescent upon binding to dsDNA. EvaGreen® dye is nonmutagenic and noncytotoxic by being completely impermeable to cell membranes, making it a great alternative to SYBR® Green I, which enters cell rapidly and is known to be a powerful mutation-enhancer (Ohta, et al. (2001). Mutation Research, 492(1), 91-97).

Description
The unique properties of EvaGreen® dye have made it particularly useful in quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) applications. Compared with the widely used SYBR® Green I, EvaGreen® dye is generally less inhibitory toward PCR and less likely to cause nonspecific amplification. As a result, EvaGreen® dye can be used at a much higher dye concentration than SYBR® Green I, resulting in a high resolution signal for droplet digital PCR, real-time PCR and melt curve analysis.

Description
GoldBio’s Illumination™ Dura-Luc Lyophilized Firefly HTS Assay Kit contains a proprietary formulation that modifies and stabilizes the enzymatic reaction to produce a long lasting bioluminescent signal by preventing the formation of adenyl-oxyluciferin at the enzyme surface. The Dura-Luc system is a highly sensitive and homogenous luciferase reporter assay that has a signal half-life of three hours for the best quantification of expression in mammalian cell lines, allowing for batch processing and plate to plate comparisons in high-throughput screening experiments.
Firefly Luciferase Assays are one of the leading reporter assays in the world in the measurement of gene function and gene regulation as well as being widely used in pharmaceutical screening. The luciferase assays are sensitive and convenient due to the absence of endogenous luciferase activity in most cell types and tissue. Firefly luciferase is a monomeric 62 kDa protein typically isolated from the firefly, Photinus pyralis, which catalyzes the ATP-dependent D-luciferin in the presence of oxygen and Mg2+ to oxyluciferin producing a yellow to greenish light (~560 nm).
The Dura-Luc Lyophilized Firefly Kit contains an assay buffer that is provided in a lyophilized form for economical shipping and more convenient storage. A reconstitution buffer is also provided with this kit.

Description
The primary attribute of DDM is its capability to extract hydrophobic proteins while maintaining the solution-phase protein conformation. DDM also allows the protein to be reformed following denaturization. Most membrane-bound proteins are α-helix bundles, which are less robust to changes in their cellular environment. DDM offers a detergent capable of preserving these proteins. This is in contrast to other, harsher ionic detergents that destabilize and permanently denature α-helical membrane-bound proteins. DDM has been used to solubilize the multidrug-transporter protein, EmrE, as well as the nucleoside-specific porin protein, Tsx.

Description
GoldBIo Orange 6x DNA Loading Dye is pre-mixed buffer for tracking the DNA sample during the electrophoresis on agarose or polyacrylamide gels. It contains one dye (Orange G) for tracking the DNA migration.
The Orange G migrates at approximately 50 bp on a standard 1% TAE agarose gel (30 bp on 2% TAE agarose gel). The included glycerol keeps the DNA at the bottom of the well and the presence of EDTA chelates divalent metal ions to prevent the process of metal-dependent nuclease.

Description
Dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) is a very polar organic compound that is useful in organic chemistry for solubilizing organic and inorganic compounds. DMSO is also used as a cryoprotectant for cell media, preventing the formation of ice crystals which would otherwise damage cells. DMSO can be used in PCR reactions to inhibit the self-complementation of DNA or PCR primers and increase amplification, especially for DNA sequences which have GC rich sequences.
GoldBio's DMSO is filter sterilized through a 0.2 μg filter. Sterile DMSO is ideal for working with tissue culture or cell culture in which there is a need for eliminating all potential sources of contamination.
